Day Seventy-Eight
On Saturday I got an early start and was out of the house by 7am to get on a bus to Jeollanamdo. Some friends had invited me to join their church group on a trip to Mt Kangcheon and the Bamboo Forest nearby. Not wanting to give up on what would probably be the last photogenic opportunity of the Fall, I grabbed my camera, layered myself silly and climbed on the bus for the three hour trip. I took tons and tons of photos on the day, but this is the one that has gotten the most praise. I wasn't all that impressed with it myself, and I did a lot of playing with it - darkening shadows, adding highlights and finally adding some saturation. This is certainly not the most natural shot of the bunch, but as editing is a part of the photographic process, I thought that I would be completely honest about how it was made. So here it is:
Shutter speed: 1/200
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 800
